Trump-Kim Summit

Writer's picture: Visionary NewsVisionary News

President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, both intent on making history, greeted each other with a hand shake in front of a row of US and North Korean flags. Followed by Trump patting Kim on the back and placing his hand on the North Korean's shoulder as they walked into their first meeting. Their body language was openly friendly and warm.

After three hours of a series of talks and a working lunch, President Trump said with Kim at his side "A really fantastic meeting, a lot of progress, really very positive, I think better than anybody could have expected. Top of the line, really good.

One US official said the two sides were working to craft a joint US-North Korea "statement of understanding" that could be released after the talks. It's not clear if the US has been able to extract from the North Korea’s willingness to get rid of their nuclear weapons or allow inspectors into the country.
